All programs at RAS are open to any person who is 18 and older and no longer eligible to attend high school. There is no charge for any class at RAS. 


High School Diploma Completion:
 Students interested in this program need to have completed 100 or more high school credits. All transcripts of previous high school course work need to be presented at enrollment for evaluation. Once it has been determined that you have met the minimum credit requirement and an evaluation of the credits needed has been completed by RAS staff, you will be contacted by your Teacher to set up your schedule. The High School Diploma program is a mix of independent study through online coursework, packet based coursework, and on campus instruction.The teacher is available to meet with student during the following timeframes:

Monday through Friday 8:45am- 1:15pm or 
Tuesday through Thursday 4:00pm · 7:00pm 

High School Diploma Credit Requirements

English: 40 credits 

Math: 20 credits including 10 credits of Algebra 1/Math 1  

Social Studies: 10 credits in the area of World History, 10 credits of US History, 5 credits of American Government, 5 credits of Economics

Science: 20 credits in the area of Science including 10 credits of Life Science and 10 credits of Physical Science

CTE/VAPA: 10 credits in the area of Visual/Performing Art or Career & Technical Education

Electives: 55 credits in the area of Electives

175 total credits required for the Riverside Adult School High School Diploma
