Students who complete this course will be prepared to take the ASE certification exam for maintenance and light repair. Students enrolled in this course are required to complete the Riverside City College articulated credit process which will earn them 4 units from Riverside City College. This program is for adults 18 and older who are no longer eligible to attend high school. You do not need to have graduated high school. A reading placement exam will be administered at registration, and a score of advanced or higher is required. Consistent attendance and promptness is required in order to remain enrolled in this class. Students who consistently miss class or are late will be dropped per the instructor's syllabus. There is homework assigned outside of class time. Internet access and a device to access the Canvas online learning platform when not in class is needed. Occasionally RAS has chromebooks we are able to lend to students, but this is based on availability. Most local libraries allow students to use computers/internet if the student possesses a library card.
